Chrysoprase is found around the globe with the best quality considered to be from Marlborough, Western Australia; this is a fine example of such a stone. It weighs 10.92ct and measures an almost-calibrated 16.6x11.6mm, so it could maybe work in a 16x11 or 17x12mm setting. It is untreated, well cut & polished, and has a glowing translucency. Its color is a bright, even apple green with little mottling to distract from its beauty. Not that chrysoprase doesn't deserve to be recognized as the pretty gem it is, it's not the most common yet.
