Yes, you ARE seeing spots. No, it isn't a figment of your imagination. This is what I called a dalmatian cut when I bought it about 20 years ago. This citrine weighs 6.55ct and measures a virtually calibrated 11.9mm in diameter, so settings will be available. It's probably heated but with the color being uneven, could be natural color, nicely cut and super clean. The color is an uneven yellowish orange from light to medium tone and good saturation, so it doesn't look brown. Add a few bezel set stones to mimic the cutting and wear it in good health.
