1.74ct Portugese cut round apatite pair

Wouldn't we all absolutely love some paraíba tourmaline but don't have the budget... that's where apatite comes into play; you get the same look for a mere pittance in comparison. This pretty pair weighs 1.74ct and measures 5.7mm in diameter, so settings won't need to be custom made. They are from Madagascar, probably heated (just like it's tourmaline color twin), and eye clean. They're a very nicely saturated blue with a little touch of greenish secondary in a medium tone. Since apatite is on the soft side of things at a 5 on the Mohs scale, I would definitely recommend earrings or pendants; rings get too much abuse.
